Our Team
Eric Lee
Founder & CEO
Eric was the Public Policy Manager at Meta, Malaysia & Brunei, for 5 years, focused on digital upskilling, investments, and content regulation. Prior to that, he was a financial regulatory lawyer. Eric holds a Master of Public Policy from Oxford University, LL.M. (Distinction) (Chevening) from UCL, and LL.B (First Class) from the University of Wales.
Sheah Liang Lee
Ecosystem Lead (Johor)
Sheah Liang focuses on advisory and overall space transformation within MDD. He is the co-founder of INFINITY8, the largest flexible workspace provider in Johor, with over 8 branches in Kuala Lumpur and Johor. He holds an LL.B from Cardiff University, Certificate of Legal Practice and is a qualified lawyer in Malaysia.
Melvin Liew
Ecosystem Lead (Sarawak)
Melvin is the co-founder of iCube Innovation, the largest private-initiated innovation hub based in Kuching, and is currently operating 3 other innovation hubs across Sarawak with the Sarawak State Government. Melvin has worked in more than 10 different industries, owns 2 F&B businesses, and is a qualified accountant.
Faezrah Rizalman
Ecosystem Lead (Sabah)
Faezrah is a software engineer and the founder of Elevate Academy, the first coding school in Borneo. Her goal is to provide a fast-track route into the tech industry for Sabahan youths. She is passionate about mentoring people who want to learn to code and believes in inspiring the next generation of coders.
June Tan
Chief Legal Officer
June is a lawyer specialized in international investments and deal origination. She has extensive experience in public policy and law reform, having advised on development of key legislations in Malaysia. June holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford, and an LL.B (First Class) from King’s College London.
Ashley Ong
Digital Upskilling Lead
Ashley is a certified Google, Meta and HRDF Trainer that has coached over 50 agencies, 2000 SMEs and 600 students. She has over 9 years of experience in digital advertising, and holds a bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce and Marketing from Sheffield Hallam University.
Shafiqe Badril
Director of International Relations (Europe & Middle East)
Shafiqe is the President/CEO of Y.I. Holdings Group, President/CEO of the Malaysian-Finnish Business Council and Co-Founder/Executive Director of KL Design Festival. He works with embassies, chambers of commerce and trade missions to promote trade and investment opportunities for companies entering Malaysia. Shafiqe holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
